So I've had a few days to digest. Sharon's 'back', not that I ever believed she'd gone. The major disappointment is that the one bit of eye candy has gone, Daniel, even though he didn't perform well at least he was nice to look at (yes I'm shallow).
Wasn't particularly blown away by any of the performances really but then I did have a dodgy tummy so wasn't in the best mood.
Nikki did well but not quite as good as the first week. The boy band were good for, well a boy band and similarly the girl band. Neither my cup of tea but fairly competent performances compared to the rest of the bunch.
Sharon's group is the weakest and I'll be surprise if either of her remaining contestants last too much longer. I think the 15 year old (see I can't even remember her name that's how much of an impact she made) is being kept in because of her age and people feel for her, being so young and having to do homework as well as rehearse. Life's hard.
Rydian was far too theatrical for my taste and I'll be interested to see how he does during the inevitable Abba week - I'm cringing already.
And Celine Dion the celebrity coach for the week, that woman should audition for a South American soap opera. I've never seen such fake and overblown flattery. I briefly watched her performance of her new single which was hideous even for Celine so maybe it wasn't such a good idea getting her in the help out.
Want out next: Limp Leon - he's completely out of his depth
Predicted to win: Girl band/boy band with Rydian second
Video: Show us some great dancing.
I posted this back in August when I was very new to Vox but as they have decided to stop doing outdoor concerts at Kenwood House due complaints from a few of the posh people that live in the neighbourhood, I thought it appropriate to dig it out again.
It was filmed at a rather damp Bjorn Again concert in the summer and shows Daniel's superb enter-into-the-spirit-of-it-fueled-by-alcohol style of dancing (sorry Daniel).
Apologies once again for the weird angle but I haven't worked out how to rotate it.
Missed bonfire night as I was in Spain but got my annual dose of fireworks while visiting my sister in Fife. We took my nephew Daniel on the Santa Wonderland trip on the Falkirk Wheel (an amazing piece of engineering designed to join up two of Scotland's main canal's which are on very different levels).
The boat picks you up takes you onto the wheel, through a tunnel to Santa's village where Santa comes on board and hands out pressies to the kiddies. The boat then returns only when you get to the top of the wheel and start to come down, they set off fireworks.
Daniel enjoyed the trip and my sister was pleased he finally got to see some fireworks because people had stood in front of his wheel chair at the public display on bonfire night (selfish swines).
It was a pretty good display and I discovered that video is better than photos for fireworks, you can even hear people going ooh and aah in the background.
My sister and I decided to head to my parents place to keep my step dad company as he's in hospital and was unable to attend a family wedding yesterday. Must admit that I had a big incentive other than family duty and that was a chance to see my nephew Daniel's new puppy Schnitz or Chip as I think she should be called. She is a miniature daschund and would fit easily in my handbag and I'm in love, as you can tell. Mosh must be credited for his superb photography (plenty more in my collections down the page) and film clips...
